Leaflet advertising is still one of the most common ways of promoting your business and offers. Here are five ways your business can benefit from using leaflets.
Send them with orders
If you fulfill orders from either an e-commerce website or have people call into your premises, you should consider including a leaflet to highlight other products and services you offer. They maybe not aware that you sell different types of products so it is good to inform them. If you use websites such as Amazon or eBay to sell your goods, include a leaflet inside every parcel you send out. It only costs the price of the leaflet so it is worth doing.
Leaflets are an excellent way of highlighting your special offers. You could consider offering a free service that doesn't cost you anything or very little, a buy one get one free deal or something that is branded with your details such as a pen or keyring.
Direct people to social media
All your marketing material should have your social media details on such as your Facebook or Twitter address on. Simply putting "Find Us On Facebook" often causes search problems if the customers are searching for the wrong keywords, or if they find another company with the same name. Sending out a leaflet is a one way communication however if you get them on your social media channels they will see your posts and information and hopefully engage with you.
Exhibitions and Conferences
If you attend exhibitions and have a stand, leaflets are essential to hand out to people who visit you. They will pick up lots of leaflets at the exhibition and they probably won't read it straight away however there is a good chance they will look at it when they get home or in the following days. You need to sell your business and make it appealing to potential new customers so they get in touch.
Door to door distribution
Putting leaflets through letterboxes is a useful advertising tool. There are a couple of ways to do this. The first is solus distribution where only your leaflets are delivered. This is often more successful than shared distribution where your leaflets will be delivered with other companies leaflets. Solus distribution is more expensive than shared. If you are delivering your own leaflets through doors we recommend a heavy paper in order for it to easily go through people's doors.
